UK Government issues new public procurement guidance
While at Procurement Week a couple of weeks ago, Sally Collier confirmed that new guidance from the Government about the new Public Contracts Regulations 2015 was on its way. She also promised that it would be short and to the point, in contrast with the mountains of guidance in times gone by.
Less than two weeks from that announcement, the Government issued four new guidance documents:
- Guidance on Awarding Contracts
- Dynamic Purchasing System
- Guidance on Amendment to Contracts During their Term
- Guidance on the Standstill Period
It is great that we have new and up to date guidance available, but my usual bugbear remains: why rushing the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 through if the guidance could only be delivered more than a month later?
Regarding length the new guidance documents, are indeed, short.
